Internship Application

The Dr. Eliz Markowitz for Texas State Representative - House District 28 campaign is seeking motivated students to intern with our campaign. Positions are part-time and unpaid, but all interns will receive a certificate upon completion of the program, a letter of recommendation for future use, volunteer credit hours for school, and the experience of working on a grassroots campaign.

Interns are a key part of our operation, play a vital role in building excitement in communities and campuses throughout the district and surrounding areas, and will gain invaluable work experience. Internships provide a tremendous opportunity to learn firsthand about the tools and methods used to run an effective political campaign. Each internship will be specifically tailored to the strengths and interests of the student, but general intern duties will include: representing the campaign at community events and parades, staffing fundraisers and campaign events, assisting with donor research and outreach, community organizing, contributing to policy research and other projects, volunteer recruitment and management, assisting with graphic design and social media, drafting press releases, and compiling news clips.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, reliability, and punctuality. Hours are flexible to accommodate most schedules, but interns will be expected to work an average of 10 hours per week.

Thanks for submitting!
